Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil - 32 oz.

Win 1 quart of Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil!

Have you ever found a product that just works?
That you love from the first time you use it?

I did, with Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil.
The wonderful people from Tropical Traditions sent me a quart of their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil to review and I fell in love right away!  I've heard lots of good things about using coconut oil like about how it can be used in so many ways, but I had never tried it for myself.
Of course, the first thing I did with my coconut oil was to cook something in it!  Coconut oil comes in a jar and is solid!  At first, that was something to get used to – when I think oil, I think of your typical cooking oils – canola, olive, etc.  Once I got over my preconceived notion of the oil, I set to work stir-frying some sugar snap peas.  Let me tell you – these were awesome!  The nice thing about using the coconut oil was I could lightly stir-fry my vegetables without adding the extra flavors of my oil or butter.  It was essentially flavorless when used this way.  The one downside when cooking with it is that it does have a lower smoke point, so no actual frying in it, unless you want a mess.   My favorite part about cooking with the coconut oil was that I used less oil than I would have, if I had been pouring liquid in!

I haven't only used my coconut oil for cooking, but I have also used it for skin and hair care!
Did you know that coconut oil is used in a lot of different creams and lotions?  I rubbed just a tiny bit onto my elbows each night and noticed a difference right away!  I also used a bit on the ends of my hair to help prevent fly-aways and smooth my hair in general.
